Sunday was our last festival day at Manufaktura. This time we invited the people of Łódź to take part in workshops inspired by different cultures, and our foreign guests made them dance.
The Little Jazz Market was bustling with life during yesterday’s arts and crafts workshops. The participants tried their hand at Slavic and African blockprinting, painting ecological bags and fans, weaving wreaths, szamotuły embroidery, making motanki dolls, decoupage, and origami.
Later, artists from all over the world joined us with their partially improvised show. We had the opportunity to see that nothing connects people from different backgrounds like dance. This is a wonderful testimony to the desire that every participant of our festival carries in their hearts – love and peace in the world.
In the evening, our festival guests and representatives of Polish and foreign bands watched a wonderful performance – WITH SONG THROUGH EUROPE, at the Pinocchio Theater in Łódź. On stage we saw the Intergenerational Choir of 4 Cultures DIALOG, the Academic Ensemble of Music of Slavic Nations BAŁAŁAJKI and the Folk Band of the Song and Dance Ensemble POLTEX.
