Compagnie Culturelle MOTEMA is another band that will appear on the international stage of 14 Folk Inspirations. The dozen-strong African representation was established in 2004 in Kinshasa. The group will come to us straight from Paris, which is its second home.
The Kinshasa music scene is famous for its great diversity, all thanks to the inhabitants of the Congolese capital – this metropolis of 10 million people is inhabited by as many as 500 ethnic groups.
In just a few days, the folk scenes in Łódź will pulsate with the energy of this city. Thanks to the palette of African music sounds, the Congolese band will create a unique atmosphere and take us on a fascinating journey to another continent.
