Dance, music, art and fashion inspired by the cultures of various nations will fill places loved by Lodz residents and tourists in just a month. Concerts, performances and a multicultural fair are just some of the attractions awaiting us during this year’s folk festival in Lodz.

We will start the 14th edition of the festival at the Youth Centre with a concert “Colours of Polish regions”.
In the evening, we will invite you to a theatre and music performance “Esplanada – łódzko-bałucka story”. We will end the day with the opening of an extraordinary artistic installation Folk Pianos in Manufaktura.
On Thursday, we will meet at the Textile Workers’ Market in Lodz, where lovers of dance and folk sounds, together with festival participants, will take part in street dance improvisations. The ticket to the event will be a smile!
In the evening, we will invite you to the Academy of Fine Arts for the show “Colours of the World” – a meeting with music, dance and fashion of various cultures.
On Friday we will return to Manufaktura – first we will visit the Museum of the Factory, where there will be an opening of an exhibition of folk costumes, and then we will go to the market square, where we will be carried away by the stars of the folk stage on a musical journey around various regions of the world.
On Saturday we will move our party to Piotrkowska street. Get ready for an amazing show and great fun. We meet at Freedom Square to take part in street dance improvisations, and then, together with the festival participants, start a folk parade towards Schiller’s Passage, where we will party in international company until late in the evening.
On Sunday, we have a real treat for all residents of Lodz, especially families with children and young people. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., an outdoor event will be held at the transformedOld Market – artistic and handicraft workshops, as well as a multimedia city game ” Secrets of Lodz – the old town and the surroundings “. Festival participants will invite us to have fun together.
We will end the weekend with the performance ” Across Europe with song “, which will start at 19.00 at the PINOKIO theatre.
On the first day of July, we will invite you to dance on the Koci Szlak, to the performance Ballads, Romances, Nuances, to an outdoor concert of traditional feast songs and to participate in the culinary game Grajka Zalewajka.
The last day of the festival will be devoted to vocal, musical and choreographic workshops for festival groups. In the evening, the final concert and the gala of the winners of the Golden Boat 2024 competition will take place in the concert hall of the Academy of Music in Lodz.
